Please be advised that pre-registration for the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) is now closed. Participants who have not completed the pre-registration process will be required to register on-site upon arrival in Awaza, Turkmenistan. Please refer to the information note for details of online on-site registration.

To ensure timely entry into Awaza, all participants must obtain a visa/entry permit in advance.

The host country has established an online visa application system, accessible via the following link: Entry of Visa requirements. In lieu of the UN approval confirmation email, participants may upload alternative official documentation, such as:

• A Note Verbale from the Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York;
• An official credential letter from the relevant government authority in the capital.

The Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (5–8 August, Awaza, Turkmenistan) will hold five interactive thematic round tables. Participating States, the EU, representatives of accredited intergovernmental organizations and other entities, associate members of regional commissions, specialized agencies and related organizations and interested United Nations organs are invited to making an intervention in up to three round tables.

Expressions of interest open Friday, 18 July 2025 at 10 a.m. and close Wednesday, 23 July 2025 at 5 p.m., via the “Roundtables” button on the eDelegate portal.

Those without access to the eDelegate Portal access are invited to express their interest to the Secretariat by email portillo@un.org.

Registration period to the Conference is as follows:

On-site registration in Awaza: 1 August to 8 August 2025

Registration of official delegations of participating States, inter-governmental organizations and entities that have observer status with the General Assembly, accredited inter-governmental organizations, international financial institutions and other international bodies, associate members of the regional commissions, specialized agencies and related organizations is handled by the Protocol and Liaison Service (Protocol Office) via the online “eRegistration system”, which is available through the e-deleGATE portal at http://e-delegate.un.org.

The Information for Participants is now available. It includes details on visa requirements, arrival and local transport in Awaza, health services, climate, voltage, food and catering, and banking and currency.

The UNGA welcomes and accepts the generous offer of the Government of Turkmenistan to host the third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, and decides that the Conference will be held in Awaza for a duration of four days, from 5 to 8 August 2025.

The second session of the Preparatory Committee for the third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries will be held from 3 to 5 June at the Conference Room 2.
